What Is a Herdshare?
A herdshare is a perfectly legal way to enjoy raw milk in Virginia. Instead of buying milk outright, you purchase a share of our herd. As a co-owner, you receive your portion of the milk each week, while we care for and manage the animals.

How to Join the Herdshare

Become part of our herd by buying a share for a one-time fee of $40. This makes you a legal co-owner of the herd and gives you access to its milk. If you ever cancel, we’ll buy back your share.

Your monthly fee helps cover the care, feed, and daily milking of the herd. In return, you receive your share of fresh, raw goat milk each week.
Full Cow Share: $60/month → 1 gallon per week
Half Cow Share: $40/month → 1/2 gallon per week
Full Goat Share: $60/month → 1/2 gallon per week

Milk is ready for pickup at our farm store in Louisa, VA. Please bring back your clean glass jar each week so we can refill it for you.

Cancel anytime with 2 weeks notice.
Return your jars, and we’ll refund your $40 buy-in.
